classes
The type of yoga taught at Studio 2 is inspired by many styles of yoga. The class structure is determined by the students in the class and can range from a flow style, power yoga or a more gentle approach. Check the Instructor Bio's when choosing your class, and be open to trying new things.
We believe that your experience at the studio is your own and to put a style to each class means we are limiting our teaching and limiting your yoga experience.
Be sure to inform the instructor of any requests or injuries so that your experience at the studio is an inspiring one.
If you have injuries or limitations, a private yoga session can be scheduled to meet your needs.
We have taken into consideration the varying styles of yoga and have scheduled your favourites such as: vinyasa, power, meditation and beginner yoga.
Nia Dance is a beautiful addition to our studio.
Level 1 and 2
Most of our classes are labelled "level 1 and 2". All this means is that everyone and anyone can join this class. The teacher will design the class to suit the students in the class. We often ask "what do you want to focus on today" as a precursor to the class to determine what would make your yoga experience the best you ever had! If you have any aches or pains that day, speak up! You will be pleasantly pleased how much yoga can help!
Hatha Aligned Yoga Flow
Hatha Aligned Yoga Flow is based on the teachings of Anusara Yoga. Anusara was founded in 1997 by John Friend and is a school of hatha yoga which unifies a life-affirming Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment. These principles are applied to each asana (pose) in Anusara yoga. Central to these principles are the 3 A's: Attitude, Alignment, and Action. These refer to the foundational concept within the Anusara method, creating proper alignment, balanced action and intrinsic goodness. This class is based on the teachings of John Friend's Anusara Yoga and is taught by experienced teachers who are on track to achieve a level of certification within his organization, but have not completed the entire process. They have spent many hours working with certified teachers and mentors as well as studying the Universal Principles of Alignment and Tantric philosophy.

Yoga reduces stress and makes you feel better. Though yoga has many physical benefits, what is really important is how it makes us feel. Yoga enhances mental and emotional well being and it improves concentration and mental clarity.
Based on Donna Eden's Energy Medicine, Noelle has created an unique yoga session for office professionals that combines yoga asana, meridian massage/tapping and simple exercises that enhances mental clarity, improves memory, relieves tension and headaches and improves energy flow for a more productive workday.
